I am a registered nurse and a health and wellness coach.  I have always been passionate about health prevention and health promotion. I believe in taking care of myself and my health through proper nutrition, exercise, and health prevention strategies.

I love to teach others about nutrition, exercise, stress-reduction, and health promotion and prevention.  One of my first classes in nursing school was called Health Promotion through the Lifespan.  This class started my fascination with my health.  I learned how to take people's  blood pressures in health fairs around Baltimore County.  After I graduated with my Bachelor is Science in Nursing,  I started my nursing career in the Medicine unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital taking care of the indigent population of Baltimore City.  I loved teaching newly diagnosed diabetics about their new diet, demonstrated to her patients how to give insulin, instructed them on foot care and taught them about their medications and the effects of diabetes long-term.

I  constantly challenge myself and transferred to the Medical Intensive Care Unit. In the MICU, I learned how to take care of patients with life threatening diseases and learned about "unknown" diseases that baffled even the best Johns Hopkins physicians from patients around the world.

As an adventurer, I decided to become a travel nurse and worked in Maimonides in Brooklyn, New York.  Not only did I learn about New York City but learned that nursing can be the "same but different" in New York.

I am fearless and decided to make a career change after receiving my Master's degree in Nursing. I became a clinical nurse analyst and trainer, dabbled in nurse management, coached nursing students as an adjunct nursing instructor, and roamed the east coast as a nurse consultant.

After all of these career shifts, I realized that teaching and helping others is what I always wanted to do the most and became a certified professional coach, specializing in health and wellness.

I graduated from the International Coaching Academy  (ICA) and am a certified professional coach.  ICA is accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
